Hello there,
I have to sculpt a terrain with cliffs and overhangs all around. I've loaded a first mesh from SketchUp and worked on it to create especially the overhangs.. I had to remesh the whole thing to get a better resolution and ended up with a 100k triangles mesh.
When I exported it as an OBJ file, it the result is a 40k triangle mesh🙄
Did I miss some export setting or is this normal ?

Exported MeshMolder mesh

Imported SketchUp mesh
Thanks Karlay, but QuadFaceTools doesn't work on my side for some reason. I've tried the UniversalImporter by Samuel Tallet and that's the culprit. So I reloaded an old plugin by TIG: obj_importer. This one runs like a charm with no triangles loss.
Thanks again for your time

Hi Didier, I think the problem is in import tool in sketchUp, maybe some optimization, the mesh have been changed, I never used Sketchup and don't have sure..
